Xiaomi unveils the Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite. See specifications, prices and where to buy.

Xiaomi,
today in a press event in India, announced the unveiling of two mid-range
phones- the Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite. Redmi Y1, designed for selfie lovers,
packs a 16MP selfie camera with LED flash, a feature Xiaomi says simulates natural
lighting for sharper and more vibrant selfie portraits.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 beta with stable update version
coming in mid-November, has better notification, split screen feature, smart
photo editing, icon animations, app vault and stickers. 
Xiaomi

The Redmi Y1 has two memory variants: the 3GB RAM, 32GB
ROM which sells for $140 and the 4GB RAM 64GB ROM which retails at $170. It
comes in two colors: Gold and dark grey. The Redmi Y1 Lite on the other hand,
goes for $115 Both devices are exclusive to Amazon with the first sale happening
on the 8th of November, 2017.
